Terms of Service
The rules that govern your use of The Panel.
1. Acceptance
By using The Panel, you agree to these terms and confirm you are at least 16 years old. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Acceptable use
- No impersonation of real private persons in panels you publish or share.
- No abuse, harassment, or attempts to circumvent rate limits or safety scanners.
- No scraping the public persona catalogue beyond the rate-limited API.
- No use of the service to generate content that violates applicable law.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Refunds are pro-rated for unused billing periods on annual plans, at our discretion for monthly plans. Stripe processes all payments — we never store card numbers.
4. Intellectual property
Persona system prompts and the n-gram safety corpora are proprietary to The Panel; they are not transferable as part of any export. The content you create (questions, custom panels, sources you ingest) is yours; we hold a non-exclusive licence to process it solely to operate the service for you.
5. Liability
The service is provided as-is. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
6. Termination
You may close your account at any time via Settings → Privacy. We may suspend accounts that materially breach these terms after written notice.
7. Changes
We may update these terms with at least 14 days notice via the in-app changelog. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; material changes may require you to re-accept.
